Mantle Update

The mantle is FINISHED!!

It took a few steps to get it lookin' just right!

Here's what it looks like currently:

It turned out EXACTLY how I wanted it.

That man of mine sure is amazing!

Master Closet... In Progress

The master closet has been a work in progress since we closed and moved in.

Here's what we started with:

 We lived like this for a while.

 Until I couldn't handle it anymore.

 The Hubs and Little Guy built me a closet!

 Looks great, right?

 And how fun is this?

It's a bulletin board behind the fabric, so I can just pin my jewelry on it!

I know, right?  Genius!

I still keep my silver stuff inside the jewelry box so it doesn't tarnish, but I'm loving this other option.

We still need to build some drawers, but I am loving it thus far!

I'll update when the drawers are in.

Flood

You know what is great?

(say that super sarcastic to yourself)

Living in your home for 3 days and having it flood.

With SEWER water.

Yep.  That's great.

(again- sarcastic)

It could have been worse.

But still.

It was crappy.

(pun intended!)

A Few Items

Here's a glimpse of a couple things that is making our house a home:

I LOVE these bar stools.  I think I might be the only one who does.

They are so practical.  I can just wipe them clean after the little hooligans eat and they even add a little "industrial" feel to the room.  

My beautiful and talented sister made my shower curtain.  Love the chevron!

This niche (that's what they call it in the plans) is giving me a headache.  No joke.  I hate feeling forced to decorate a certain space.  Not really sure if it will stay like this.  I've re-done it 15 times already.  And a shout out to The Hubs and the beautiful clock he MADE for me!  Love him.

Moving Day!

I can't believe we've made it.
