More Cement

They poured the rest of the cement today which included:  front porch steps, back patio, side garage door access, and any sidewalk pieces that they ruined during the construction phase.

Granite and Driveway

Big day today.

Two hard surfaces have arrived.

Woot woo!

For some dumb reason they didn't cut the granite ahead of time for the cooktop, so they did it in the house.  Can I just tell you how loud and dusty this process is?

 Oops.  They added 10 inches to the island that they weren't supposed to.  I made them cut it off because it looked funky by not lining up with the other side.  Duh people.

That also meant more dust and they scratched up the floor while they were at it.  Ugh.

Floor Poured & Delivery

We showed up today and it's official!

We have a basement floor!

It looks so smooth and clean!

It's probably the best lookin' foundation I've ever seen!

This is slicker than slick!  Keeping our fingers crossed that it continues to go like this!
